Biography
Mr. Ferdi Sastropawiro has been married for 13 years to Karina Sastropawiro. The Lord has blessed them with three children: Daniella, Diego, and Santiago.
He graduated with a B.A degree in Biostatistics in 1999 from Southwestern Adventist University. Fresh out of college he embarked that same year on to his first year of teaching. His first job was to teach Science, Math, P.E. and Computer Science in academy.
Then in 2006, he completed his masters in Education Administration at Southwestern Adventist University.
Since 1999 he has taught grades 3 to 12 at different times and schools in OK conference, NV-UT conference, NNE conference and 4 years college teaching experience.
'Mr. S' enjoy Bible studies, spending time with his young family, church, hiking, gardening, cooking and the outdoors.
His philosophy on education: Do all that's possible for the salvation of the students and do all that's possible takes to get students engage in learning and advancing step by step.
Ferdi's aim is in this powerful quote: "“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.” “The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright.” Proverbs 4:7; 15:2. True education imparts this wisdom. It teaches the best use not only of one but of all our powers and acquirements. Thus it covers the whole circle of obligation—to ourselves, to the world, and to God." {Education 225.2}
